Learn To Scuba Dive!
Open Water Diver Course $498 Are you ready for an amazing underwater adventure? This course is your first step in becoming a certified scuba diver! What's included: e-learning course classroom sessions pool dives 4 open water dives air fills rental of the life support gear (bcd, regulator, dive computer, wetsuit, weights, and scuba cylinders) Certification Card What is not included: Transportation to and from dive site Private 1-on-1 training (contact us for private courses) You will need to own or purchase Scuba quality mask, fins, dive boots, and a snorkel for this class. We offer student gear packages at starting at $249 and up! How the Class and Diving works! Classroom and Pool Sessions After completing your e-learning course you will need to come to the dive shop for a classroom session. During that time we will go over the course, dive gear set-up, and answer any questions you may have. If you need to purchase a gear package we can assist you during that time. The pool session will be at the Top Spin Plaza in Lexington, SC. It is a heated pool! Pool training is normally held on Sunday afternoons. There are also other days and times available for pool training. Open Water Dives: After sucessfull completion of the pool session, students must successfully complete at least 4 open water dives to receive certification. Dives are normally held at Lake Murray or Lake Jocassee during the warmer months. When the water gets cold we will dive at Lake Keowee or the Flordia Springs (additional fees may be associated). We suggest everyone to do boat dives at Lake Jocassee or Lake Keowee to get the most out of your training experience. However, shore dives are included with the cost of the course at Lake Murray. If you opt for a boat dive, it is additional $50 per day for open water students. |
Course Details
Course prerequisites: Minimum age 18, 10-17 with parental consent You must be able to swim. What you can expect to learn: The SDI Open Water Scuba Diver Course will cover all of the necessary skills and knowledge for open water scuba diving! When you are a Certified Diver you can: Conduct open water dives to a maximum depth of 60ft worldwide with a dive buddy! Certified divers can continue their dive education by enrolling in the Advanced Diver course and other Specialty courses. You will rent Scuba gear, obtain air fills, and go on dive trips and dive boat charters Available Course Dates for 2021: If these dates do not work for you, no problem! We can set-up courses that will fit your schedule. Just contact us! Pool Sessions will take place the following Sunday at 8 A.M. and Check Out dives the following weekend. To sign up for your scuba course you will need to make a non-refundable deposit of $49. You can do this by contacting us or signing up towards the bottom of this webpage. After your deposit, we will send you an email with your e-learning course code and instructions on registering. Your e-learning course must be completed prior to coming to your first classroom session. The remainder of the course fee ($449) will be due at your first classroom session.
