I have always loved being in the water for as long as I can remember. I grew up fishing with my father in lakes and the atlantic ocean and swimming with my mother wherever we could find a place to swim. I loved exploring the water as a child and I haven’t stopped yet. I started scuba diving at the age of 16. After I became a diver it was hard to for me to do anything else. During college I became a divemaster and began leading dives at Lake Jocassee in Salem, SC. Lake Jocassee is a deep lake with depths approaching 400ft. This is probably why I have a passion for deep diving. I love the decent. My favorite place to dive is offshore South Carolina. This lead me to pursue my captains license and lead others on dive trips off our beautiful coast. I have made over 2000 dives since I began diving. My diving career has lead me to the most beautiful places in the world and to extreme environments. I have dove over 100 miles offshore in Carolina and 300ft deep. I have raised airplanes from 150ft deep and in extreme current. I’ve dove in the beautiful Caribbean and discovered artifacts in lakes with zero visibility. I love my job. I became an instructor and began to spread my passion for diving to others who would take the plunge with me. As of 2016 I am now approaching 600 diver certifications since I have been an instructor without any accidents. I consider myself a "scuba personal trainer". I believe that small class sizes with a lot of in water personal time with the instructor creates better and safer divers. I am not a part-time instructor. I dive for a living and for a hobby. This allows me to teach from my experiences and not just to regurgitate a book from an agency. It is important for you to know the diving history of your instructor. When searching for an instructor look for someone who does not only teach scuba, but dives and has experience outside of teaching. It is my passion to help you reach your diving goals in a safe and educated way. Feel free to contact me with any questions!
